Anne Maclean - BSc MRPharmS Independent Prescriber Dip Trav Med AFTM RCPS (Glasg)
An Associate member of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Glasgow, Anne successfully completed the Diploma in Travel Medicine in 2013 and the Membership exam in 2015.
Having spent many years working as a community pharmacy manager and Superintendent Pharmacist, Anne decided to follow her passion and has worked in the field of Travel Medicine since 2007. She now owns and runs a busy travel clinic in the medical practice at Stirling University and in Dunblane and regularly advises schools, national companies and university staff and students as well as members of the general public. Special interests include global travel and student and gap year travellers.
When not working, Anne enjoys travelling, hillwalking, skiing, cycling, running, music, reading and cooking. She is a PADI Advanced certified scuba diver.
She has travelled widely for business and pleasure and has attended Travel Medicine conferences in Dublin, Bergen, Quebec City, Kathmandu and throughout the UK.
A past Vice- Chairman and Chairman of The Royal Pharmaceutical Society of Great Britain’s Stirling and Central Scotland branch, Anne has worked as a volunteer with Pharmacist Support for sixteen years and has found this interesting and often challenging. She also regularly facilitated educational meetings for multi-disciplinary training events. In 2014 Anne organised and presented at a local BGTHA meeting for doctors, pharmacists and nurses.
