Lucy Hay is a Registered Adult Nurse with over 16 years of clinical nursing experience, specialising in intensive care, community nursing, and travel health. She currently works as a Travel Health Nurse at London Vaccination Clinic, where she is committed to delivering high-quality, evidence-based care and ensuring every patient has a positive healthcare experience.
Prior to moving into travel health, Lucy spent six years working in General Intensive Care at Barking, Havering and Redbridge University NHS Trust, caring for critically ill patients while contributing to quality improvement initiatives and multidisciplinary teamwork. She also served as Nurse Manager for a domiciliary care and nursing agency for almost nine years, leading teams of nurses and care assistants, undertaking community risk assessments, and maintaining regulatory compliance.
Lucy has completed postgraduate training in critical care alongside theoretical training in vaccination and immunisation. She has a particular interest in travel medicine, inspired by a memorable positive experience receiving a yellow fever vaccination before travelling to The Gambia. This experience reinforced her passion for providing exceptional patient care and expanding her knowledge in travel health.
Lucy is passionate about helping travellers stay healthy and safe through personalised advice, preventative healthcare, and vaccination services. She is dedicated to continuous professional development and believes that delivering compassionate, high-quality care leaves a lasting impact on every patient she meets.
