BGTHA members are able to list their travel clinics free of charge on this website. As the BGTHA website is highly visible to search engines, members of the public searching for travel health advice on the internet are likely to find their way to your clinic. Research grant of up to £500
BGTHA members are able to apply for a grant up to a maximum of £500 towards the cost of their personal research projects. (This year’s funding has been allocated. Please contact us for next year’s applications).
Education Bursary of up to £300
BGTHA members are able to apply for an educational bursary up to a maximum of £300 towards the cost of an approved course of study. (This year’s funding has been allocated. Please contact us fo rnext year’s application).
Four issues of Travel Wise per year
Travel Wise is the BGTHA’s quarterly multi-page newsletter published in colour. It contains a mixture of current topics, review articles, book reviews, anecdotal travel tales and expert responses to frequently asked questions which will help to keep members both entertained and up to date.
Two issues of the BGTHA Journal per year
The BGTHA Journal is published twice a year. It contains original articles, reports on original research, review articles and updates on specific areas or travel medicine.
Reduced fee for the BGTHA Annual Scientific Meeting
BGTHA members are given a preferential rate for the Association’s Annual Scientific Meeting, a lively conference that provides the opportunity for members not only to hear presentations from expert speakers and topical debates but also to meet each other and chat to the experts.
Access to research groups
BGTHA now has a research network of around 100 members who are able to co-operate in research projects.BGTHA Faculty of Travel Medicine bursary BGTHA is able to offer a limited number of bursaries as a contribution to the entry fee for the Faculty of Travel Medicine’s Membership examination.
Free access to BGTHA publications online
BGTHA members can download previous editions of Travel Wise and the BGTHA Journal at no cost. They also have access to Clinical Topics, a series of online articles on specific topics within the field of travel medicine, as an additional means of keeping up to date with knowledge and best practice. Clinical Topics and the BGTHA Journal are fully searchable by keyword, a valuable information resource for members. The BGTHA E-book on Travel and Health in Older People is being published online chapter by chapter and is also available for free download by members. It is also included in our search facility.

Members have access to exclusive articles, guidelines, copies of conference presentations and other exclusive resources produced for the BGTHA.
